Everybody loves Tuscany, everybody wants to see Tuscany and at times, especially in the summer, the large number of tourists can be a bit too much. But it is still possible to find "undiscovered" parts of Tuscany, where very few tourists come.
Arcidosso is just such a place. It is located in the wild natural habitat on the western side of the huge Mount Amiata. The powerful counts of the Aldobrandeschi family ruled here for centuries, and in the nearby town of Abbadia San Salvatore a monastery was founded in the 8th century. Ever since then it has exerted its influence over this imposing and impassable mountain region.

Agriturismo La Guinza has been converted into four apartments and a small independent house for visitors, who want to experience a Tuscany that is different from the much seen picture of soft gentle hills and endless vineyards. Instead they are offered a still unspoiled and wild part of this very famous region. The farm lies undisturbed at the end of a 2 km long dirt track. Here guests can enjoy the use swimming pool, barbecue, table tennis and mountain bikes.
