Situated between Arezzo and Castiglion Fiorentino the Villa offers countless opportunities for visiting museums, monuments or simply for going shopping in the surrounding town centres.
The villa has a fantastic stone structure which oozes authenticity and character. Inside there are wooden beamed ceilings and a stylish staircase and a spacious open floor plan which only add to and enhance the villas charm.

There is a beautiful swimming pool (5 x 10 m) in the large garden, only a few metres from the house, where children can play in absolute tranquility while the adults relax in the sun, admiring the beautiful view of the valley below. The garden area, shaded by old trees and olive trees, is completely surrounded by a fence and equipped with garden furniture and a barbeque.
3 bedroom villa - sleeps 6 (100 m²):

SECOND FLOOR: access via wooden staircase, composed of two single bedrooms, a twin bedroom and a bathroom with bath. EQUIPMENT: washing machine, TV, oven, freezer.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Spectacular view from garden over Arno Valley, beautiful sunsets every evening. Nice clean not-too-chlorinated pool to cool off in, olive groves all around, quiet. The villa itself is lovely and old-fashioned in the good way, with a charming feel of being equipped by someone actually living in the house. You will not find a lot of fancy new installations, but you will find everything you need to make meals etc. Kitchen looks a bit dingy in pictures but is in fact very cosy.
The road is easy enough to find, just follow the sign for Sant'Andrea a Pigli, but the villa itself is hidden from the road and directions from Eurocasa are crap. For once, you can rely on Italian street numbers to be logical, so find 44 (meticulously kept villa) on the left side, go to the next house up the hill, which is a complete ruin, drive in through the gate and keep going until you can go no further. And don't be afraid, your holiday house looks nothing like the one in front of it!
The villa is not situated in a city, but shopping is close by. You do need a car, however. Best food shopping just outside Castiglion Fiorentina in large Conad, but a lot of smaller shops closer by. The restaurants nearby are okay, but our own grilled Bistecca Fiorentina and boozy sunsets while the kids swam in the pool in the twilight, beat what the locals had to offer.
Lots of great places only a short car ride away, Castiglion old part, Monte San Savino, Cortona and Arezzo which surprised us by being really lovely.
