This restored hotel stands by the River Lima, which has some wonderful little water falls. On the other side of the river is the mansion which used to house Europe's oldest casino, and the hill where the spa baths with their 19 hot springs are situated.
There is much to see in this beautiful region and for a start you could explore the valley upwards towards Garfagnana, where we especially recommend a visit to Barga, or in the opposite direction towards Lucca and its stunning villas. Lucca is a good shopping town, where you will find many bargains and special shops along its famous shopping street Fillungo.

It's like staying at a friend when you are a guest of Roberto and his family. The rooms are rather simple and have basic furnishings, plus they have a television, a safety deposit box and a private bathroom with a hairdryer. There is the internet, but it is rather slow in this area. Therefore, Roberto decided to put a fee of 2.00 euros per hour to reserve the use of the line for those who really need to get online.
Nice and clean rooms and very competent staff. Very service minded.
Good location as a basis for a lot excursion spots.
