Midway between Siena and Florence is the vineyard Borgo Poneta, which offers five well-appointed apartments, magnificent scenery, good wine and a lovely swimming pool.
It's hard to find anything unfavourable to say about this place where character buildings are combined with modern comforts. The main activity at Borgo Poneta is still agriculture, specifically the production of wine and olive oil. Parents will rejoice at the picturesque buildings and scenery, the youngest members of the family in the playground, and all probably in the swimming pool of 14 x 7 metres, which is set away a little from the apartments amidst the olive trees with sun loungers and parasols.

Both children and adults will probably enjoy a also visit to the farm's small museum of rural culture with its many old tools that were unearthed during the buildings renovation. It is also fun to venture down into the cellars that date back to the 1500's and see the many bottles and Chianti barrels. You may also appreciate drinking a bottle or two whilst making use of the outdoor grill and dining at one of the many outdoor tables in the spacious garden.

Lovely little vineyard in the middle of Tuscany. Better in realty than described. Nice location in proportion to Florence, Siena, Pisa, and historical sites and the Chianti wine route, amongst others. We will definitely come back.
Quiet, calm, incredibly beautiful place. We had what we needed in the apartment. You can walk around the whole "courtyard" area, and it is a nice place to "explore". Lorenzo was very accommodating and he made us feel very welcome. It was a pleasure to see how the grapes were harvested, both with machine and hand. Even the area was so beautiful and we got a lot of trips to the nearby towns - again well guided by Lorenzo. All in all, a super nice place.
