As you traverse through the streets towards the top where you will find the magnificent cathedral, you will meet one beautiful house after another and breathtaking alleyways and piazzas. Perched on top of Barga you will find the most breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, forested slopes and the towns' red-tiled roofs.
Many foreigners have settled here in Bargo over the years, with its artist colony and music festivals becoming increasingly popular to those seeking a truly idyllic Tuscan life. There are the annoying number of tourists here though that you find in other popular Tuscan destinations. The town has a plethora of restaurants, Pizzerias, shops and bars.
