Bibbiena is located in the most easterly part of Tuscany, specifically in Casentinodalen close to Poppi. It used to be an important Etruscan settlement in the past. Nowadays the town is very famous for its Salami sausage.
h3>Wild nature Nature here is wilder than in the central part of Tuscany, and therefore a much smaller part of the area is cultivated. A nice fact is that the mountain La Verna, was the place where the holy saint Fransicus de Assisi frequently stayed.
