To enter the village you drive through the old medieval castle Castello di Borgo alla Collina and in the middle of the town there is the Chiesa di San Donato. Its history goes back many centuries and was independent until the late 1700s when it entered the Castel San Niccolò municipality that it remains as part of to this day. The Castel San Niccolò city is about. 3 km away and there one can find a few shops, a handful of restaurants and a pharmacy. The range of both shops and eateries is Greater in Poppi, approx. 5km away.
