Villa La Volpaia is a sober and beautiful farmhouse situated at a vantage point on the slopes above the town of Buti. At the house there is a large stone terrace with a long, but narrow swimming pool.
The old villa has been beautifully restored and is a really nice cosy setting for a group or family who wish to combine tradition with comfort. There is a large stone terrace outdoors with a long but narrow swimming pool (11 x 3 metres with a depth of 35 - 170 cm). The pool is filled with spring water and has spa properties.

To arrive at the house you must follow a steep and windy road that is not suitable for heavily loaded or low vehicles as it is bumpy however the last part is paved. Despite the desolate surroundings you are not left to yourself as the sweet owner Caterina is happy to show you the olive groves and other interesting things. She speaks English and is a graduate of philosophy. The climb on the steep road is surely worth it for the view and peace and quiet at the top!
Villa - sleeps 8/9 (about 350 m²):
- The house is on two floors and is decorated in arte povera - style with antique furniture in solid wood. The beds are also original and it all oozes authenticity. The distinctive and original wooden beams in the ceilings have been preserved, and the original floors also - which are terracotta.
The ground floor consists of a beautiful entrance, a large kitchen (oven, gas hob , fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine), two large living rooms en suite with separate dining room, with an old fireplace in each room and a also a guest toilet on this floor. From the ground floor you have access to the terrace which is partly covered with pergola on which there is a table and chairs.
A staircase leads to the first floor where you enter into a huge living room with two large windows from where there are views of the valley and the town. The living room leads to two bedrooms with double beds, a bedroom with double bed and the possibility of an extra bed, a bedroom with two single beds and a private small bathroom with toilet and shower and a large bathroom with a bath and toilet.
