Campiglia Marittima as a holiday destination

We have had a fantastic experience, in an environment that has been owned by a family for 3 generations. Our 2 big kids and my husband and I have become so taken by the place and the small villages around it, that we definitely plan on returning. But then we will choose an apartment with its own terrace, they are also bigger. Denise is the most hospitable Italian I have ever met. We came later than 7, but she still met us with a smile. We stared off with having her show us the basic things, she told us where there was a grocer, a place to eat, she had even printed a driving instruction in Danish for us. We instantly felt wanted as guests. All through a fantastic place for holiday, both active, but also a place for pure relaxation. Is highly recommended

Recommendations for future guests

There are many small villages in the mountains, which are worth a visit. The trip to them is on small roads with a fantastic view. We visited the town of Castagneto Carducci, where we ate the restaurant "Il Cappellaccio" and got a "small" pizza. It was so big that 2 people could share it and easily walk away full. You have to book a table, since it is well visited.
