Borgo Artimino is a renovated part of a medieval town, located about 300 metres above sea level. Together with the neighboring villa La Ferdaninda, Borgo Artimino are both on Unesco's list of cultural heritage. The villa la Ferdaninda dates back to the 16th century and used to be the hunting ground of the famous Medici family. The surrounding fields cover about 732 hectares and very well know for its great wines. The most famous selling ones is Carmignano. In addition to the great setting, you can stay in rustic and comfortable apartments or you can also choose to stay in a hotel room. Other nice trips you can embark on in the area is the area around Montespertoli, the small town of Greve in Chianti with all its surrounding vineyards, the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the small, sweet cities Calci, Buti and Vinci. Also, the historical cities of Volterra and San Gimignano you can reach easily by day trips.
