A few kilometres outside the extremely charming little medieval town of Casole d'Elsa is Agriturismo Palazzo Talamo in a distinctly quiet and peaceful setting, where you can escape the crowds and enjoy a relaxing holiday.
The Vannucci family have lived and cultivate the land here for years which features 200 acres in total though only a small part is cultivated with cereals and sunflower fields, vineyards and olive groves. You can walk the trails and dirt roads to the nearest restaurant, located about a mile from here or up to Casole d'Elsa, which is about two miles away (but be aware that the last mile is quite steep). A few hundred metres away from the family house is the old farmhouse Palazzo Talamo that has been renovated and divided into six apartments.

The apartments are furnished in typical rustic Tuscan style with exposed beams in most ceilings, terracotta on the floor and quality furniture. The apartments are characterized by being quite spacious: There are no sofa beds at the Vannucci family want their guests to stay comfortably. There is no plastic furniture in the garden, all furniture is made of wrought iron and marble. Each apartment has either a private part of the garden that goes around the house, or a gazebo in the courtyard in front of the house. A few metres from the house is the pool surrounded by sun loungers and umbrellas overlooking the countryside.
The Vannuccis family offer mountain bikes to use and you can taste their products and go for a walk on the their land. You may even meet their horses and donkeys: Urbana, Matilde, Pippo, Sisko and Rosina. The family also owns another farm with houses on their land, it's called La Peschiera, and is of slightly higher quality (and price). Whether you choose one or the other farm, you get exceptionally good value.
