The small town offers a cozy atmosphere and historic wine sites. The choice is not so large, though, there are a few bars and a few restaurants.
In the summer the town lives up, and there are a number of events you can participate in. You can deal with everything from the art of music to sport and gastronomy. Furthermore, there are a range of different excursions, some on two wheels.
Around Castelnuovo dell'Aboate you find a wonderful landscape of Val d'Orcia, filled with olive groves and cypresses. It only takes 10 km. to the more famous town of Montalcino. Other places worth visiting in the area is San Quiro d'Orcia and Bagno Vignoni.
