Aside from the aesthetic beauty scoring high, the location is also a bit of a point scorer. If you want days out, then you are a comfortable distance from Pisa here, and only 35 km from the beautiful sandy beaches. Furthermore, since there are only four apartments here, you will have plenty of space to yourselves.
Whilst you stay in a wonderful rural location at Casale La Collina, you are still within easy reach of some of Tuscany's great historical and cultural cities (Voltera 25 km, Lucca 75 km, Siena 85 km) and still be near the beach! It's a perfect destination to combine all the elements of Tuscany! However, if you just want a peaceful rural break with beautiful scenery and Tuscan views, then this is a great choice. The charming village of Chianni is just 6 km from the farm and there are a selection of restaurants and shops here and a greater selection to be found a little further away in Casciana Terme. You will find the nearest restaurant is just 2 km away.

In the garden you will find a 12 x 6 metre swimming pool, which is surrounded by sun loungers and parasols, and there are also a few swings for children. All kitchen corners are equipped with a fridge freezer, an oven and a hob. The windows have mosquito nets so you can get fresh air without worrying about insects, but all bedrooms are also equipped with air conditioning, if you prefer to sleep behind closed windows. There are covered parking spaces for all apartments. The four private gardens are equipped with a parasol, table, chairs, gazebo and a barbeque.
Apartment Michelangelo is located on the ground floor and is approx. 50 m². The apartment consists of a living room with a kitchenette and a sofa bed for two people, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower and toilet. The apartment is equipped with satellite TV and has a private garden. There is air conditioning in the bedroom (can be used for an additional fee).
Apartment Raffaello is located on the ground floor and is approx. 80 m². The apartment consists of a living room with a kitchenette and a sofa bed for two people, a double bedroom with private bathroom with shower and toilet, a second double bedroom and a second bathroom with shower and toilet. The apartment is equipped with satellite TV and has a private garden. There is air conditioning in the bedrooms (can be used for an additional fee).
Apartment Leonardo is located in the first floor and is approx. 120 m². The apartment consists of a living room with a kitchenette and a large fireplace, two bedrooms with double beds, a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, two bathrooms with shower and toilet. The apartment is equipped with satellite TV and has a private terrace with views of the countryside, and also a private garden on the ground floor. There is air conditioning in the bedrooms (can be used for an additional fee).
This is our second stay at Casale La Collina and this time we enjoyed the pool and the silence around the farm. You can take the train from Pontedera to Florence. And as usual a nice chat with the kind and lovely hosts.
Lovely big 4 room apartment with a great balcony.
We had a really nice stay and the service were excellent. The location is great, with a lot of places and cities to explore - fx Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano and Lucca. The sea is not far either
We were very pleased with our stay at La Collina and the greeting that we've got from the kind and friendly host! Fortunately the weather was with us during our stay.
The place is great located if you want to explore nearby areas and cities like Pisa, Lucca, Volterra, San Gigmignano and the sea.
Unfortunately this place is not as 'Tuscan' as you find it the centre of Tuscany. But the place is nice and have a nice view from you're own private terrace - which is great!
We rented the entire house. 8 adults + 4 children. Everybody thrived. Went hiking in these beautiful surroundings, went bathing and entertained ourselves with the different activities the house offers. The owners were very nice and accommodating. They showed up every night, cleaned the whole place, took care of the trash and checked if everything was alright. However, they forgot to inform us of the little ants, who eats everything, that isn't wrapped properly. Missed a microwave.
