We had fourteen peaceful days off at Flora and her lovely family. House and garden are both very well-kept, and we enjoyed our stay in the beautiful surroundings. We lived in a nice apartment, at the top of the building. Flora has a big, lovely pool with good room for all the guests. Great common garden with fruit, nuts, spices and freshly harvested vegetables sometimes. Flora invited all guests for a lovely Tuscan dinner, where all of her very accommodating family, took part. Here there is great opportunity for learning the Italian, and get close to the Italian family life.
We had a very warm period the first week, and bought a desk ventilator for the smallest bedroom, since there isn't an air condition in the apartment. Be aware that, the apartment furthest down the building doesn't get as warm in the summer.
If you seek a holiday home in green, quiet surroundings, far from the typical stream of tourists in Tuscany, can both the area and Floras country home, be recommended.
Recommendations for future guests
Floras son, Giuseppe was good at giving good trip-tips, and he recommended us to drive to Florence via the Poppi and Consuma-pass. A beautiful trip, and significantly shorter than the usual GPS-recommended route via Arezzo and the autostrada.
