Just 4 km away you can join in the fun at Piazzetta in Forte dei Marmi where you can shop and dine and enjoy a vibrant atmosphere. You will also find restaurants nearer along the waterfront in Cinquale, and beach lido's where you can rent sun beds and parasols. The nearest supermarket is approx. 2 km away.
Cinquale, Ronchi and Poverome were once the chosen meeting places of the Italian "Intelligentsia". Today though, the presence of those literary and artistic greats has almost disappeared. The residence La Pegola now occupies the plot of land where the many intellects used to meet after WWII, including poets such as Calvino, Carr, Calamendrei, Pannunzio, Guttuso, Ungaretti and Bobbio.
