Corella is in the middle of the Mugello Valley, 5-6 km from Dicomano and about one hour’s drive north of Florence. The village is in the heart of the Tuscan landscape and consists of lots of old houses, and with the exception of a mini-market, there are almost no shops here. There is, however, plenty of peace and quiet. Down in the valley, you can take a refreshing dip in the River Sieve. There are lots of excursions you can take from here, but we recommend walks in the Parco Nazionale del Falterona or in Scarperia (famous for its beautiful hand-crafted knives) and of course, a day in Florence is a must.
