Rosa dei Venti is located by Cortona in the beautiful Chiana valley which is full of relics of the Etruscans. Here is the castle Montecchio Vesponi, and the medieval villages Castiglion Fiorentino and Lucignano.
The farm has belonged to the Micheli family since 1900 and is now run by the 4th generation of the same family. The hillside farm is set in a typical agricultural area that lends itself to growing grapes and wine production, olives, wheat, sunflowers and melons.

The 18th century house has recently been sympathetically renovated by the Micheli family and converted to holiday homes. The renovation has been carefully done with much attention to the original architectural features. Around the house there is a large garden with cypresses and olive trees. A lovely swimming pool in the garden enjoys a wonderful view over sunflower-filled fields
The house has been converted into three large apartments, and there are two nice independent apartments in the old barn and the old drying room. On the ground floor in the house there is also a large communal room. There is a wood burning stove and a barbecue for shared use. Mountain bicycles are available on site, and only 500 m from the farm there is a tennis court. Horse riding facilities are within 3 km and golf within 7 km.
The apartments are all different with typical rustic wooden furniture and interesting ceilings with big beams. All apartments have a furnished terrace, where meals can be enjoyed.
