Hotel Cellai is probably the most fascinating 4-star hotel in Florence! It has been in the sympathetic hands of the 'Cavallo' family since 1881, and it has slowly evolved from a simple student hotel on the first floor without an elevator, to the remarkably classy hotel that it is today. The last renovation took place in 2005, and the family have put all their energy and money into the project, clearly with perfection in mind.

Artistic and personalized decor
Not so long ago, the hotel moved into the ground floor, and the former carriage house was also renovated. The old original ceiling beams were hand-painted with delicate patterns, and the many cosy common rooms were furnished and decorated with great attention detail and with the purpose of adding a special atmosphere to the hotel. The Cavallo family has a broad collaboration with various artists who use the hotel for exhibitions and displays of their work for short or longer periods.

You can take breakfast in the cosy restaurant, and the relaxed atmosphere is highlighted by quiet classical music and candlelight. In the afternoon, you will be offered tea and coffee, and can use the internet for free. One of Hotel Cellais greatest assets is the lovely rooftop terrace, with a lounge bar, where you can enjoy a quiet moment and read a book in the afternoon or have a drink after dinner, while enjoying the wonderful view over Florence.

The hotel has a total of 58 really nicely and classically furnished rooms. There is considerable attention to detail and the furnishings are very tasteful. All rooms have a telephone, satellite TV, air conditioning, a mini-bar and a bathroom with a shower or bath, hairdryer and toiletries.
