A holiday location for those who want to be close to everything

The best thing about Antico Pastificio is the central location. Since you live in the heart of Chianti area you are at walking distance to the cozy cafes, restaurants and shops.(150 meters) You are at a wonderful base to visit Tuscany's many treasures, already on the way to Florence, which is just an hour away by car. The appealing Tuscan rolling landscapes of Chianti are just around the corner of. One beautiful hill after the other, the vine yards, cypresses and forrests as far as the eye can see. If you choose to drive to the south, you will end up in Siena and the divinely beautiful area Terre Senesi. An hour's drive to the west brings you to San Gimignano, the town with the her many towers. It actually plays no great role, which direction you drive the car in, you are surrounded by countless sights when you stay here at Antico Pastificio.

Relax on historic ground

Antico Pastificio was built in 1850, and the resort's original function was to produce pasta. After the building had been abandoned for almost 50years, the family decided to renovate the place and to transform it into apartments. Important was that it had to stay authetic without removing the old Tuscan flavors. We are pleased with the result, as this means you can enjoy ancient frescos on the walls, look up into the vaulted wooden ceilings, put your feet on a terra-cotta floors and in general feel and sense, that you've arrived in a historic part of Italy.

Besides modern and quality apartments you have a very comfortable garden where you can relax by the pool. You can take a break from the sun under an umbrella, start the bbq grill or just relax in the hammock. Children can move freely, and they even have a small playground available, a small football field and a pool table with table tennis.

Should you fancy a day full of activities, you can go on a trip in the area, play golf, watch the village by bicycle or on horseback, there are many possibilities. Talk to the front desk and they will help you with everything from guided tours, to recommendations for the best shopping opportunities and cooking classes.

The pasta factory in Greve

Nice location. There is less that 500 metres to shops, restaurants, the square, etc. Spacious apartment. Simple but still nice equipment. It can be a tad cold to stay here in the middle of October. The heater worked only a little - it was something we payed extra for. A narrow driveway to the place, so it can be an advantage to have a small car. Kind people in the reception.
