Around the Chianti area there are many appealing towns and interesting historical sites. Montegonzi is no exception in this regard. The town dates back to the Middle Ages, and large parts of the Castello di Montegonzi were destroyed in a battle between the families Ghibellini from Siena and Guelfi from Florence in 1629. It marks, in other words, real history. As mentioned above, the buildings are restored with utmost care, the beautiful, ancient atmosphere up here on the hill ought to be the same as centuries ago.
Since you live right between Siena and Florence, you have a myriad of interesting tourist attractions nearby. For example, you can visit San Gimignano, the city with the many churches and towers, Certaldo and Monteriggioni, just to name a few. Charming Greve in Chianti is only 10 km. away and your walk in the woods lies just about one kilometer from your residence. Moreover, the small town of Panzano in Chianti, only 6 km away and there you can find some shops, bars and restaurants. Walking, cycling or playing golf, it's almost only your imagination that sets the limits to what you can do in this lovely area. Montegonzi has its own vineyards and olive groves.
Castello di Montegonzi includes an outdoor pool, which of course you have access to. However if you haven chosen to stay here on La Chiesetta, you might as well use your own pool. Relax and read your book on your sunbed and have a dip when your are running hot. You also have your own garden and the common garden features a common use barbecue. To wash clothes, there are laundry facilities on site.
Le Chiesetta is decorated in a simple, rustic, Tuscan style and comes with a convenient kitchenette. Inside the house you have great stone walls, exposed beams and terracotta floors - all helping to create the authentic Tuscan atmosphere that prevails in this place. Outside the house you have a few different seats to choose from, and a private garden with pool. Inside there is satellite TV and the possibility of air conditioning and Wi-Fi. access at the common spaces at no extra cost.
We would like to advise you that it would be smart to buy some basic supplies, before you arrive at the house. That way you can relax when you parked your car. Sports cars are not recommended as the road to the house is

The cottage is approximately 60 sqm in size and stands by itself. The entrance is on the ground floor and it comprises of a living room with kitchenette and sofa bed for one person, bathroom with shower, steep and narrow wooden staircase to an attic, where you can find two bedrooms with 2 double beds (both rooms have the option of air conditioning).
