Make yourself at home in these beautiful farmhouse apartments set amidst 60 hectares of vineyards in Lajatico in the Chianti wine region. With its warm welcoming accommodation, a lovely swimming pool and terrace and a restaurant, this is truly a wonderful place to soak up a piece of delightful Tuscany.
This pair of farmhouses sit on a hillside with sweeping views across to the beautiful town of Volterra with vineyards and olive groves scattered along the way. The gardens are well-tended and pretty and provide an oasis of calm for all who visit. From here you can also journey to some of Tuscany's hot spots such as Florence which is about 50 km away, Pisa is about 40 km away, Volterra is just 23 km away.

The family at Bellavista produce a number of wines including the Bottero' and Balenzi from Sangiovese grapes, extra virgin olive oil, honey and brandy. The restaurant offers heart warming home cooking made largely from home-grown ingredients and they succeed well in producing traditional yet innovative dishes. Wine tasting is available and also a tasting lunch where you can combine wine tasting with a number of Tuscan dishes.
At Azienda Agricola Bella Vista, you have the great advantage of staying within walking distance of a town and being able to enjoy the Tuscan countryside and the peace and tranquillity that it entails. Lajatico is within walking distance and there you will find a selection of restaurants, shops and sites to see. One particularly interesting thing about Lajatico is that it is the birthplace of Andrea Bocelli who returns throughout the year due to his involvement in a music project "Teatro del Silenzio". This is a natural amphitheatre which is calved into the beautiful surroundings and hills of Lajatico and hosts regular music and arts events. It is really something to be seen.
There are two great swimming pools on the site, one for adults and one for children. They are set amidst a pretty and well-tended gardens. The farms two houses have been divided into five spacious and comfortable apartments. They are all equipped with satellite television. The apartment Girasole has its own private terrace while the apartments in the main building have a table in the garden. The apartments located on the first and second floors have a nice loggia area with views overlooking the valley. The loggia is separated from the living room by a glass door.
Rosa is located on the ground floor and is approx. 50 m². It consists of a living room with kitchenette and sofa bed for two people, a double bedroom and bathroom with toilet and shower.
Violetta is located on the ground floor and is approx. 50 m². It consists of a living room with kitchenette and a sofa bed for two people, a double bedroom and a bathroom with a toilet and shower.
Mimosa is located on the second floor and is approx. 70 m². It consists of a living room with a sofa bed for two people and a loggia with a glass door, kitchen, two bedrooms with double beds and two bathrooms with toilet and shower.
Margherita is located on the second floor and is approx. 70 m². It consists of a living room with a sofa bed for two people and a loggia with a glass door, kitchen, two bedrooms with double beds and two bathrooms with toilet and shower.
Girasole is a small house on two floors and is approx. 80 m². It is located on the terraces of the swimming pool and consists of a spacious living room with a kitchenette and a sofa bed for two people and a pull-out bed, two bedrooms with double beds and two bathrooms with a toilet and shower. The house also has two terraces just outside the door.
We were very satisfied with our accommodation. Great room, fantastic view and very nice service.
The apartment and the view are beautiful, it's Bella Vista, - we really enjoyed the Margarita apartment, but it was too cold, when the temperatures got below 20 degrees. It was cold at night and it was cold in the evening in the apartment and when you've only got a sheet and a thin blanket, as covers, a wool blanket doesn't help that much. It was also really difficult to get hot water. We were cold and that took away some of the joy of the beautiful apartment and the surroundings. Stefania, who's the hostess, was incredibly sweet, but they were very busy with the harvest and because of that there weren't wine- and oil tasting.
I think it is a small paradise, when the sun is shining, because the pool area and the small gardens/terraces, are lovely and the view is incredible.
We were two families away together and everything went really well. Kind owners, who had everything under control, and always were ready to help. Lovely place and great restaurant. Beautiful nature and view - and lovely with a small private garden for example for breakfast and a nice pool with lots of space. The apartments was nice and cool in the hot climate. All in all a great place which we would like to return to.
I booked the Girasole cottage at Bellavista for 4 friends attending the Andrea Bocelly concert for 3 nights. I wish I had booked a week long break here. We only saw the owners on arrival , departure and dinner on the first evening. The cottage has everything you need- except AC, but a fan was supplied for the warmer bedroom upstairs. We felt we had our own private pool as there was rarely anyione else around. Views are breathtaking and endless over the Tuscan countryside. The village of Lajatico was a 5 minwalk uphill and had everything we needed.
In -Italia were very quick to respond to all queries pre arrival.
