Villa Borbonne enjoys a wonderful setting behind Lucca at Pieve di Santo Stefano. The stunning scenery and the elegant style of the place creates a relaxed atmosphere which can be enjoyed either in the sun by the villa's large swimming pool or under the trees on the superb terrace.
The villa was originally built and occupied by the Viceroy of the Bourbons. The grandparents of the present owners lived here until the 1970s, by which time the villa was in need of thorough renovation. The family also wanted to get closer to the town, and so they moved out. Luckily enough one of the sons later saw the potential of the villa and restored it completely. Part of it is privately occupied, but the other part has been converted into comfortable and spacious rooms for visitors, who want to stay 10 minutes drive away from Lucca, and at the same time experience Tuscany at its most relaxed.

Some of the bedrooms have air conditioning, while they all have TV and everything you need for a pleasant stay. The villa is "listed" by the Italian art council, and as a consequence the bathrooms could not be moved nor changed. This is why they are all in the corridor, although each bedroom has its own private bathroom. One of the rooms is in the old porter's lodge by the swimming pool.
Note: The last 600 meters to Villa Borbone going down a very steep and narrow gravel road.
