This is a typical Italian seaside resort, with everything you would expect to find. You will never be short of a bar or restaurant here, and the sandy beaches are beautifully wide. There is also a train station in the town.  Marina di Massa is mainly popular with Italian tourists and you won't usually see many tourists from other parts of the world here. There's not much going on outside of the peak summer months and here you won't find many people that speak English and the menu's will be in Italian only, so be prepared! In the small town there are several options for various activities including tennis and mini golf and there is also a water park. It is a good starting point for a excursions to the beautiful mountainous Tuscan hinterland and the famous nature reserve with quaint towns 'Le Cinque Terre', is also not far from here. And if you should tire of the bars in Marina di Massa, neighbouring Forte dei Marmi has more nightlife with even more cafés and bars to visit.
