We had 6 nights at Santa Maria.
The place is nice and well-kept, our apartment on the first floor, however a bit dark, but with nice facilities.
We were upgraded to a bigger apartment (4 beds) upon arrival, however without needing the extra room.
A change of the table and chairs on the terrace, would be a much needed improvement.
There's a comfortable atmosphere at the place.
Within walking distance of a Trattoria, where there's also a possibility for small purchases (bread and misc).
Unfortunately the Trattoria was closed both Wednesday and Thursday.
In the welcome brochure at Santa Maria, it said, that it was closed on Tuesdays.

Montaione as a holiday destination

Montaione is well-located regarding excursions to e.g. Florence, Siena, Volterra and the Chianti-area in general. The town of Montaione isn't an excursion spot in itself, but has 2 larger supermarkets.

Very, very heart-warming place with the perfect location in Tuscany. Lovely outdoor facilities with garden and big pool. Fantastic service from the owners, who were incredibly helpful with arranging tickets, trips, etc.
The apartment is cosy, clean and well kept, good beds, but the kitchen equipment was sparse and bad, uneven and used. Also needed a sofa in the living room, where you could relax.
