Lo Scricciolo lies just outside the small and charming Tuscan medieval town Montecastelli. It was built in the 19th century as a dairy, and today it is converted into eight apartments. The entire house was carefully renovated in 1999. There is a swimming pool by the house and hire of mountain bikes. Tennis courts are available nearby (payable on site). The house stands right by the road, but it only goes to Montecastelli so traffic is limited.
The apartments all overlook the valley and are between 35 and 45 m². They have exposed beams in the ceiling, wrought iron bedsteads, and TV in each apartment. The outdoor facilities are of the highest standard and the bedrooms solid, but the living rooms show signs of a tight budget.

And if you want to go to the sea, there are good beaches at Cecina and Vada only 55 km away.
