Lo Scricciolo lies just outside the small and charming Tuscan medieval town Montecastelli. It was built in the 19th century as a dairy, and today it is converted into eight apartments. The entire house was carefully renovated in 1999. There is a swimming pool by the house and hire of mountain bikes. Tennis courts are available nearby (payable on site). The house stands right by the road, but it only goes to Montecastelli so traffic is limited.
The apartments all overlook the valley and are between 35 and 45 m². They have exposed beams in the ceiling, wrought iron bedsteads, and TV in each apartment. The outdoor facilities are of the highest standard and the bedrooms solid, but the living rooms show signs of a tight budget.
On the other hand the house is centrally placed in Tuscany, and at the very modest charges you really can't expect more, on the contrary. Lo Scricciolo is well placed for excursions to Tuscany's greatest sights. There is only 50 km to Siena and 85 km to Pisa and Florence. And if you want to go to the sea, there are good beaches at Cecina and Vada only 55 km away.
The town's grocer shop is only a few meters from Lo Scricciolo where you can do your daily shopping.
The apartments consist of a living room with kitchenette and double sofa bed (most suited for children), bedroom with double bed and bathroom with toilet and shower.
The apartment is on first floor and consists of a living room with kitchenette, two bedrooms with double bed and bathroom with toilet and shower.
This 3-room apartment is the only one of its kind and sleeps 4. It has entrance at ground floor, which consists of a living room with kitchenette and bedroom with double bed and panoramic view. On first floor there is a bedroom with bunk bed and own balcony with no view and bathroom with toilet and shower.
