Grand Hotel Panoramic enjoys a privileged position in the green zone at 10 minutes walking from the lower town center. At about a 100 meters away from hotel Panorama you can take the funicular railway going up to Montecatini Alto, a village with medieval origins situated on top of the hill. The railway dates back to the late 1800s and is still in tact. In Alto there are quite a few interesting sites to visit such as the church and convent of Santa Maria from the 12th century and more historical sites. If you prefer to go shopping, no problem as in Montecatini you will find many haute couture boutiques, facilitating quality products for the people with larger wallets
Most people come to this town for spa treatments, where various spas offer saunas , steam baths, massages, even mud baths and beauty treatments. In total there are nine thermal centers immersed in the green of the extensive thermal park about 5 minutes away. The architecture of the spas of Montecatini are mainly built in Art Nouveau style and are not to be missed.
If you like to explore the area it is easy to take the train to Florence, Lucca or Pisa. From Montecatini these train trips take you less than an hour. If you like to play Golf, there is a lovely 18 hole golf course nearby and staying at Hotel Panoramic gives you 40% reduction on the green fees.

The Grand Hotel Panoramic might look a little bit dated from the inside, though the quality of the facilities’ and services are highly comfortable. The Grand Hotel is surrounded by a lovely green garden and facilitating a bamboo wellness part, a central swimming pool with sun loungers and terrace around. The Bamboo wellness part features a whirlpool, a sauna and a gym corner. If you like to pamper yourself with a massage, various treatments are possible.
The restaurant serves dishes from various regions in north Italy, where both fish and meat are on the menu. In summer the chef moves outside to the garden where he lights the barbecue and serves you on the terrace. The same interior and exterior space are used for breakfast and lunch. Out on the terrace you can also be served by the bar men with drinks and light snacks during the day.
When you come to Montecatini by car, don’t worry as parking on site is not a problem. And so is WiFi, free of charge and facilitated throughout the hotel.
