Montelopio is a small village located in Peccioli municipality. This small community provides for the most basic shopping needs with the usual coffee shop where the elderly sit around a table playing cards to while away the hours, and the young people gather in the streets to chat. You can buy an ice cream or a coffee in the bars in the small side streets and take in the relaxed atmosphere.
You won't see many other tourists here, and there are certainly no big tour buses passing through. It's a pretty peaceful place and there is space to stretch your legs without the crowds that you find in more known tourist towns in the region.
