Taste the home made products in the restaurant

The couple who run the farm have organised some lovely apartments that are rented on a weekly basis in order to supplement their income in addition to their farming activities. These include the production of wine, olive oil and pig farming. The traditional black and white Tuscan pig Cinta Senese are reared on their land some way from the house and can be visited during your stay. La Lombricaia is the small restaurant on the farm where guests can enjoy wonderful Tuscan food in pleasant surroundings. You can eat outside or inside and the view from the terrace only adds to the experience. All farm products can also be purchased at the restaurant, should you want to take something home with you.

Meet the animals and have fun outdoors

Between the olive trees you will find the farm's two swimming pools, one is 15 x 8 metres for the adults and there is a small circular pool for the kids that also has water massage. What else can we mention? That on the land you will also find turkeys, rabbits, chickens, goats, cows and mules? That there are plenty of BBQ's so you can cook outside if you wish? That there is a large parking lot for the guests? That all the furniture is of good quality ... metal and wood (no plastic here!)? That there is table tennis, mountain biking and archery available for guests? The place in general is VERY family friendly? And so on!

Apartments with outdoor area

Each apartment has its own heating system, satellite TV, fireplace and an especially private outdoor area with a table and chairs. The only small criticism we have to say about this place is that the kitchens are a bit spartan, however, there are grills outside and a restaurant, and there is also a restaurant in the village about 500 metres away.

Montalbino

Lovely, relaxing place with a fantastic view from the restaurant, great food and warm welcome by the hostess Anna and her wonderful staff.
We changed our stay from Glicine which was way too small for 4 people - there is room for max 3. Something to think about in the future. Pleasant with all the animals who live on the farm - the kids enjoyed it a lot. Hereto a nice, big pool with playground.
The place is very recommendable.

Fantastic hospitality and environment

A place where you feel completely welcome, and where a lot is done to make the guests feel at home, and have a good stay.
Both accommodation, restaurants and surroundings falls in the adults and kids taste. The animals in the area are very fond of people and kids - also younger children - to big excitement for the smallest. Lies very isolated in a very hilly area, and yet only 30 km from Florence and Siena. Can absolutely be recommended.

Great surroundings, lots of activities included

Visited in September 2015. It was surprising to see the region still green, without too many mosquito's. The wine harvest had begun. The region was rural, with small castles on the many mountain tops. For a Danish-man, summer was still in total bloom. Agriturismo in Montalbino is cosy, and our house was big and sturdy, with all equipment. Every night they watered the flowers outside, and emptied the garbage bins.
There was free access to the football field, bikes, table tennis, archery, swimming, and hiking trips, along with a service house with brochures and mention of the regions attractions. Playgrounds, observation tower, and a lot of livestock, like donkeys, rabbits, hens, pigs, etc. The restaurant at the place is fine, so you don't have to leave Montalbino

It is our second home...

It was the 4th time we've lived here, and this year was as amazing as the others. It feels like coming home, every time we are there, which has made us book again for 2017 :-). Anna is an amazing host, and nothing is missing. We can only recommend this place - the only minus is, that others love this place too, so you have to be quick.

Wonderful for kids and everyone else.

A really nice and comfortable place to stay. We had a really good time and the kids enjoyed it as well. Lovely with the farm animals and a lot of places to play at. There were several places to explore by foot and a lot of beautiful landscapes. The places was perfect for us - lots of big rooms and plenty of space to unfold. The kitchen was quite nice and we did a lot of home cooking!
A bit hard to find the place - use a GPS!
