A modern and tidy hotel located at the back of the central station. In front of the hotel you find a bus stop taking you to the airport in 10 minutes. Florence is only an hour by train from Pisa.It takes about 20 minutes to walk to walk to the leaning tower.
At no price your walk will be boring, as you walk straight through the historic center of Pisa with all her tempting historical sites complemented with restaurants, bars, boutiques and elegant piazza’s. So if you are not in hurry, it might take some time to arrive at the tower, as you have sat down at one of the lovely terraces on the Piazza’s. While you are at the tower, you might as well visit the Cathedral (Duomo), the biggest in Europe at the time when it was built. At the same piazza you find the circular building “the Baptistry” This is the place where Galileo Galilei was baptised. Furthermore you can find here the Camposanto, a monumental cemetery.
