This lovely old villa dating from 1850 is located a short distance outside the exciting and almost totally overlooked cultural town of Pistoia. Surrounding the villa is a large garden with oak trees and old Lebanese cedar trees. The rooms in this villa with their elegant furnishings are of a very high quality, those of at least a 4 star hotel, but at much lower prices.
The views from here are beautiful, the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. Guests are welcome to use the owners' book and record collection, and it is also possible to book dinner on site. The owner Fiorenza, a very capable chef will cook you a delicious 3-course dinner on site and you can relax in the beautiful dining room and have all the hard work done for you. The price for a 3 course meal is around €30 a head and the quality is very high. NB. It is not possible to dine here on a Sunday.

In the garden, there is an assortment of garden furniture and a lovely swimming pool of 8 x 16 metres which is open between May and October. In the nearby woods you can go for walks or mountain bike rides if lying by the pool all day isn't your thing, or you simply need to burn off a few calories after a delicious dinner! The five bedrooms all have en suite bathroom, air conditioning and TV and are furnished elegantly with high class furnishings, both modern and antique. Cesare, the man of the house, is interested in both modern and classic art and his passion is evident throughout the house.
In fact, the villa is part of a large farm with 17 hectares land of which 7 are covered by vineyard and 10 by woods. Guests are welcome to buy the farm's produce including chianti and olive oil.
We had a perfect stay, at some very hospitable people. Good food and very friendly/enjoyable service.
The place lies central of Florence - Lucca - Pisa.
A local, great stay at a fantastic view and foreign animal noises. These came from a zoo, which lies in the backyard. We were received by the owner and his 5 dogs, which was a party for our daughter. He gave us a tour and when we reached the room, we got even happier. Clean, big, authentic and good air condition :) The pool was big and lovely tempered. It wasn't very kid-friendly though, as an 8 year old couldn't reach the bottom. We ate dinner with the family of the place, and with a view over their beautiful olive groves. Can definitely be recommended, especially if you like authentic Italian.
If you love peace and quiet, rural surroundings, personal contact with your hosts, beautiful view to the mountains, and wonderful food, this is the place. It is simply a pearl.
There are only 5 rooms at the place, and it think it is best suited for couples without children. There was not enough room or facilities for a family with kids. There is an A/C and a wonderful bath. Many cosy corners in the house where you can sit and read, if the weather isn't cooperating. Short distance to Florence and Pisa, about 1/2 hour and 2 euro in highway tax. In other words; a perfect location.
