The road from Poggibonsi to Castellina in Chianti offers some of the most beautiful landscapes imaginable and some very interesting buildings.
The imposing Castello di Strozzavolpe from the Middle Ages sits a few kilometres outside of Poggibonsi and Podere Poggiarello is located just below it in a peaceful setting overlooking the valley. On clear days you can see all the way to San Gimignano from the top of the house. Three kilometres in Poggibonsi you will find all sorts of shops (including a few very large supermarkets), as well as many restaurants, a railway station and access to the motorway between Siena and Florence. Podere Poggiarello is said to be an excellent starting point for exploring central Tuscany.

The owners live on the ground floor of the main building whilst the first floor is rented on a weekly basis. The small annex is also at the owner's disposal. There is a swimming pool of 14 x 8 metres (depth from 1.10 to 3.00 metres) in the large garden, and of course a barbeque. Each apartment has its private terrace with table and chairs.
The 200 m² apartment is on the first floor of the main building (the owners themselves live on the ground floor). Previously there were three smaller apartments, which is evident by the fact that there are no less than three living rooms, two of those with a kitchenette. The largest of the rooms has a fireplace, and another has a sofa bed for two people. In addition, there are two bedrooms each with two single beds, two bedrooms with a double bed and all four bathrooms / toilets with either a shower or a bath. There is a dishwasher, a television and an iron. The apartment has a lovely covered terrace. The washing machine is shared with the house Posta Reale.
