Il Casone belongs to the holiday facility La Pieve di Pomaia, located in the beautiful and relaxing setting about 1 km from the small village of Pomaia and 11 km from the beach. In the newly renovated main building at Il Casone, you will find one and two bedroom apartments with their own kitchens that can sleep up to 4 people. At the holiday complex La Pieve di Pomaia there are 45 apartments in total, but only half are rented to tourists.
Here you can enjoy typical Tuscan specialties in the good restaurant on site facing the pool terrace. If you like meat, you can try the great bistecca alla fiorentina with your fellow travellers or taste the wild boar and hare that is hunted in the surrounding forests. The sea is not so far away, so they also serve freshly caught fish from the nearby ports. You can also find salads and a pasta dishes. The breakfast buffet is however more simple Italian style, but if you are lacking in something, you can always ask.
The children can play in the children's pool and the playground with swings and slide and table tennis. You'll also find a barbeque to cook on outside. Bicycles and mountain bikes are available for rent, and nearby there is the possibility of horse riding. In the surrounding towns are pizzerias, restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies and doctors.
The apartments are simply furnished and include a TV, a kitchen with a refrigerator and a microwave, a bathroom with a shower and Wi-Fi. There is a communal coin laundry and parking available to all guests.
If you want to relax, this is an ideal place, not much is going on for teenagers and young people, but think it's a nice place for families with children.
