Radda in Chianti as a holiday destination

We missed some better garden furniture and especially a place that just belonged to the apartment. The garden furniture was very slimy and simple. We would've liked some more porcelain. When all that is said, it was a lovely place, which we enjoyed staying at. We were very well received and got some fine and very kind help. Kind regards Kirsten Homann.

Positive: Clean, nice and cool apartment without a TV, good beds, Wi-Fi works well and is stable, very sweet Hosts; Giuseppe, who brought ice cream and prosecco, good freezer and big fridge, fine, big pool with depths ranging from 110 cm to 160 cm. The traffic noise wasn't so bad - the neighbour's dog was, on the other hand!

Negative: You cant walk to Redda, even though In-Italia says you can on their website - the road is too long, narrow and dangerous, the garden is worn with old, rusty and unusable garden furniture, the playground consists of one old swing, the pool are is also below standards (the pool itself is fine): the parasols are cheap and break easily - same story with the sunbeds - also remember to bring your own towels.

All in all an okay place, which is very central for trips and has a sweet owner. If only you had invested a bit more in the pool area and garden. The pool area has the most beautiful view over Chiantis forests and hills.

Recommendations for future guests

Volpaia - a small town about 10 mins away - there are 3 places to eat: pick the small bar in the middle of the square - Bar Uccio. Really lovely, cheap and simple Italian food and the best Aperol Spritz! The heart of the place is the big Mama, she greets you with a big and raw voice, big arm movements and true love for food.
