In the hills just 2 kilometres outside Riparbella lies Borgo San Pecoraio - a newly built quality holiday resort in rural Tuscan style set in wonderful surroundings. There are 56 holiday apartments of different sizes dotted around the charming landscaped gardens with various swimming pools and plenty of facilities to ensure a great Tuscan holiday. Here you can combine trips to beach with days in the countryside and visits to some interesting historic towns.

Great pools and a restaurant

There is not just one pool here but several. The smallest has its own shallow pool, then you can choose between the Belvedere of 70 m², located on the restaurant side and surrounded by sun loungers and parasols, or the 700 m² large pool area called Niagara Falls (!), which also has sun loungers and parasols and a pool bar (serves light lunches). At the pool bar you can also enjoy using the internet in the wi-fi zone (for a fee). The restaurant serves light lunches and is open for dinner throughout the summer season. Note that the large pool is closed during the off-peak season, whilst the pool by the restaurant is open for longer.

Facilities

Also on offer here for our guests is a tennis court, a playground, more parking, a coin laundry and a small shop selling local produce such as oil, wine, honey and fresh bread. You can also buy fresh bread in the morning from a mobile shop.

Apartments with private terrace

All apartments have a private outdoor area, but they don't have air conditioning. Since the apartments are located 450 metres above sea level, it tends to be quite a bit cooler than down on the beach and therefore air conditioning is not required.

The greatest pool-area ever

This was our second year in a road, and we will defiantly come back. Its just a great pool, and its big enough so its never overloaded with people. At the same time the hotel is located in a peaceful area up the mountains with the most amazing view. Nevertheless we think that the restaurant really outdid it self this year.

Pure relaxation

The complex is well kept and beautifully fitted.
Thanks to the pavilion-style, with lots of displaced houses up the slope, the size of the facility is comfortably, visually reduced.

The comfort of the houses is sufficient. Satellite-TV with limited selection. Mainly families from Holland, who are relaxed and sympathetic. Few language barriers for their kids. Football and other activities give good terms for the kids socialising .

The free Wifi is very limited with all the children, because they surf all day on their smartphones and Ipads, so therefore it is very slow or totally inaccessible.

Great Holiday resort

Borgo San Pecoraio is a great holiday resort for families with children. We had a great time. We were there with children between the age of 8 -15 years
The children had a great time. The facilities were good. Great pool, nice restaurant.

Our house, the old building nr 247 (Girasole), we were not very happy with. The location is great, quiet and with a great view. The internal facilities were very bad. Shower, toilet, bath were old and dirty. Which is too bad. A little bit of investing in the faciltities would improve this a lot.

We saw that all the other appartments are modernised but the old house is not.

WiFi is there but the bandwith is very bad!
