La Torraccia di Chiusi is a cosy country house of exceptional class with its own restaurant and panoramic pool, with picturesque surroundings hard to beat. You will receive a very warm welcome from the owner family who also produce their own wine, olive oil and vegetables.
The greeting and hospitality that you receive here are just as wonderful as the views and the location. The family that own and run La Torraccia work hard to produce their own olive oil, wine and grow vegetables on their land. The location of La Torraccia is also on the famous medieval Via Francigena - the pilgrims route to Rome, and from here you can follow in the pilgrims footsteps and enjoy the wonderful scenic forest walk to San Gimignano, approx. 1 - 1.5 hours on foot, or a bit further to Volterra.

The villa owners have built a wonderful swimming pool a short distance from the villa which also has a children's pool. The terrace around the pool is equipped with sun loungers and parasols and a changing room, and from where you can enjoy views over vineyards and San Gimignano. The pool is cleaned with salt as it is more ecological.
There is also a restaurant here run by one of the owners old friends. A dinner usually consists of four delicious dishes and it is worth every penny. The dining room is decorated with the owners own artwork. In addition to the restaurant there is also a small bar with access to the garden in front of the villa, where guests have the opportunity to get a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, and here is also a common room where guests can make their own coffee and tea free of charge.

Very kind staff, nice tips and a wonderful place in the middle of Tuscany. Close to everything.
It is almost to hard to describe this place - it has to be experimented.
You are greeted as they know you and you leave feeling that the know you - the staff as well as Stefano who is the owner of the place.
This great place is at the top of a mountain with view over the city San Gimignano, which is surrounded by olive trees and a lot of wine fields.
It does not matter where you look from the view is great from every angle. It takes a car to get here, but it is also necessary to get around. There is a small drive to Pisa, Firenze and Lucca.
The food is really great. Every night they serve a 5 menu dinner with a glass of champagne (own production). All this for 25 euro which is a really fair price. The also serve lunch for 15 euro which is almost the same as the service at evening time. To big meals at day is a lot in that italian heat so we just had one big meal and then we had some snacks during they day.
The staff very nice and friendly, and was able to fixed all.
This place we would certainly tell about to friends and family. We are going back , for sure.
La Torraccia di Chiusi is a really lovely agriturismo. This place have so much soul, tranquility and atmosphere. The host and staff are so friendly and they would love to share the story about this amazing place.
We had chosen one of the suites and it was definitely worth the money.
The food is a chapter for itself. The chef made us some genuine, local and simple Tuscan food, that tasted like heaven.
The breakfast is delicious, fresh and well prepared.
The pool-area located overlooking the fields and San Gimignano. Because there is only 11 rooms, and people have a tend to take day trips, we had a feeling that we had the place for ourselves.
The location is good in relation to the beautiful villages and cities nearby. Vi drove off to see Siena, Volterra, Lucca and of course San Gimignano.
You must be aware of the bumpy road that is about 4 kilometres from the main road and to the hotel.
We stayed at La Torraccia di Chiusi for 4 days. The place is simply fantastic. In the middle of the vineyards and with a view over the hills. The owner showed us around, and showed us, among other things, the family chapel, which is at the place. The employees are very friendly and helpful. Every night we had dinner at the place. We both care about food and wine and our travels are always marked by culinary experiences. That's why it was extra exciting to sit at the table in the lovely outdoor restaurant every night - we didn't know what to eat. But every night they served 5 courses in total. Everything from the Tuscan "farmer kitchen", as we would describe it. Super great food, made from scratch. The chef walked around every day at the place, and picked herbs, etc. for the evenings courses.
One night the power went out - which meant, that the last evening we got our bottle of red wine, we got for dinner, for free, as a compensation for the inconvenience. That was great!
The entire area is kept nice and clean, and the pool is wonderful and with a view to San Gimignano.
There's a lovely path from the place and into town (old pilgrim route, which is still in use). There's about 6,5 km via the path - but the trip is incredibly beautiful.
We can only recommend the place, and we are quite sure, that we will return to this small pearl.
The place lies quiet and calm, nice people and good service. Reasonable dinner.
There is a bit far to everything - if you don't eat there.
You have to be aware that, you shouldn't have a car, that likes steep and uneven gravel roads.
The place is magical! Very wonderful, rural surroundings, the hosts are so sweet, and we have rarely experienced anything like it, the rooms are incredibly charming. Perfectly located for visiting Siena, San Giminagno and Volterra.
