Molino di Fociis enjoys a quiet rural location between the charming Colle Val d'Elsa and the better known (and much more visited) San Gimignano. An 800 m long dirt track leads up here from the main road, and it separates the farm from the main road to San Gimignano and acts as a sound barrier.
It is an old mill from the 18th century. It was abandoned after the Second World War and totally renovated and converted to a hotel at the turn of the millennium. The front of the building and the interior design is exciting with its use of the traditional materials that feature in Tuscan houses.
