You don't have to compromise here. You stay in an authentic setting with nature on your doorstep and with plenty to do for the children. You can dine onsite twice a week, nearby at restaurants and pizzerias, or cook at home in your apartment which is furnished in the Tuscan "arte povera" style, with traditional terracotta floors and a simple kitchen.
The farm's large swimming pool, 25 x 12.5 m is at your disposal and you can also hire the tennis court if you wish. On payment of a supplement you can also hire bicycles, use the washing machine, arrange gliding trips, go horse riding or go sailing from Marina di Pisa to the island of Capraia. For those interested in golf it should be pointed out that Tenuta Quarrata has arranged a deal with Metropolitan Golf & Country Club in Tirrenia (approx. 35 km away), whereby guests from the farm can play the 18-hole course at a special price. In the same town there are also large sandy beaches, so you don't have to make do with the swimming pool every day of your holiday.

Dinner can be arranged twice a week at the farm for a fee - a simple yet robust Tuscan style of cuisine. On Saturdays when there are more arrivals, you can expect a good buffet. On Thursdays there is a traditional Tuscan dinner with good meat and good local red wine. On Tuesdays often a tasting of Tuscan specialties and wine, olive oil and other local products is arranged. If you want breakfast, this can also be arranged but you can also just order fresh baked bread to be delivered to your door - so you can enjoy your breakfast as you like. NB. All these services are not available during low season:
The apartments are spacious and nicely decorated (and equipped with Wi-FI), but the kitchens are a relatively simple feature; they have a four-burner stove and a refrigerator, but there are not many household items. Most have access to a garden table and chairs near the entrance, otherwise you can use the tables and chairs that are in the common areas.
About three km from the farm you will find a supermarket, butcher, bakery, pharmacy and fruit and vegetable shops. If you don't feel like cooking and you want to try eating somewhere other than farm eating place, no more than a few kilometres away you will find the first of many restaurants and a pizzeria.

Pretty, old, renovated olive farm highly located in lovely surroundings with a beautiful view. Lovely big swimming pool. However we did miss better kitchen supplies including tableware. Kind and polite host, who sometimes was a bit difficult to contact, however.
Tenuta Quarrata is a nice and quiet place with a good atmosphere. The hosts are friendly and accommodating - great at answering questions and the host is fluent in English.
Were accommodated in a 3-room apartment on the ground floor. There weren't any air conditioning, which weren't unbearable.
Lovely big accommodation, which worked, and it was nice and clean.
There were a nice atmosphere - both between the guests and from the staff. Lovely place.
We have enjoyed a week in Tuscany, where we especially emphasised
- a good large pool with a lot of sunbeds
- a nice view from the place of the surrounding area
- friendly hostess and help as needed
- good and lovely arrangements with dining
It has been a good stay. Very personal and cosy, good frames and beautiful nature. No activities nearby, but that definitely doesn't hurt us in any way, lovely pool and park. Good surroundings to go running or biking in. The host is very helpful and offers an enjoyable dinner with the other tenants - A place we will be back to guaranteed.
It would be nice if the host would work some information material out for the surrounding area: renting of bikes, shopping options, where to buy wine, etc. Questions everyone has, and which would make it so that, the host Lydia wouldn't get asked the same questions every time new tenants arrive.
Kind regards from the Family from Hald Ege
