Hotel Villa Nencini is a cosy family run hotel with a large swimming pool and a great location just a few hundred metres from the Volterra's historic centre. Here you have the feeling of being in the countryside, yet you are in a town.
The hotel's main building dates back to the 16th Century and it still has a great historic feel about it, despite a few modern additions and a swimming pool (20 x 10 m).

Once you arrive here, you can leave the car and see the whole town on foot. This charming cosy hotel is well run with solid furnished rooms all with private bathrooms, satellite TV and a mini-bar. There really is a strong sense of being in a country hotel when you stay here, yet you are near enough to the exciting and historically interesting town of Volterra to explore on foot.
Spend two nights in October at this hotel. Rooms simple but clean and fresh. However wondered why there was ashtrays on the nightstand? If the room had smelled like smoke we would have switched. Off-season so it was very quiet and comfortable. Had a perfect view of the valley from our balcony. Easy to park the car and within walking distance to the center of the town, perfect.
Our first trip to Tuscany, but absolutely not the last. Beautiful nature as far as the eye can see and lovely weather. Were primarily in Tuscany to go to a concert with Andrea Bocelli in Teatro del Silenzio, very great experience.
Very lovely hotel with a fantastic location and very accommodating and friendly staff.
It can definitely be recommended. We had a superior room with a view of the pool. It can be highly recommended, but the hotel isn't suitable for people with physically disabilities.

Here there is no rush, and you can enjoy your stay in a quiet and calm tempo.
Within walking distance to the old part of town, but do be aware that, it takes a good couple of legs to walk UP into town.
Also be aware that, the staff almost doesn't speak English.
