The town of Volterra is popular destination that should be mentioned alongside the more well known Tuscan towns of Florence, Siena and Pisa. You will find everything within the town's medieval walls including 25 restaurants and just as many cafés, leaving you spoilt for choice.
The farm dates back to the 1700s and produces wines using famous Tuscan grapes such as Sangiovese, Trebbiano and Malvasia. They also produce a virgin olive oil using the traditional pressing method with fantastic results. Both the wine and olive oil are available to buy from the reception.

Take some time out at the lovely swimming pool surrounded by olive trees with sun loungers and parasols, overlooking the valley below. You will find that the garden is spacious and there is also a barbeque where you can cook, and garden furniture for every apartment. The apartments on the ground floor have a table and chairs outside the door, whereas the first floor apartments have furniture in the garden. It should be mentioned that a road runs behind the farm, but you don't have to worry too much about the noise since only a few locals use it. Should you fancy a walk on the beach, it is approximately 45 km from the fine sandy beaches of Marina di Cecina.
All of the nine apartments are well equipped and have a telephone, a television and a kitchen with a refrigerator and independent heating system for the cold seasons. There is also free wireless internet in the reception area.
Fantastic view just right out site. You can sit a your own garden table or sunbeds and just enjoy the beautiful nature and sunset every evening. Good facilities for having a BBQ. A nice small pool for the hot days. You can do shopping in a big COOP just 5 minutes away with car. Big help from Vincent, who made us feel welcome and informed us about excursions.
We lived in the apartment, "Florence", in Villa Opera for 10 days in July. The place is fantastic, both regarding the placement close to Volterra, the view, the location only one hour from all top-sites in Tuscany, and last but not least; the house itself and the related facilities. Great pool, with the most wonderful view, and a kid-friendly depth in the other half. Sweet and helpful staff - and lovely with fresh morning bread for the door each morning from the local baker. The warmest recommendations from us!
Villa Opera is a lovely place with a real, Tuscan mood. The staff is really helpful, sweet and kind. There is good room in the apartment, and it is well-equipped. It could, however, really use some air conditioning on the hotter days. Lovely pool area.
There was a huge hospitality at this place. Really kind staff. Everything was perfect!
Amazing view from the apartment!
We had a lovely stay at Villa Opera, the resort was beautiful and very clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would stay here again without a doubt. Very scenic.
