Podere La Cerretola is an old 18th century farmhouse. Over the years it has slowly evolved according the residents' needs right up to present time. The facade and the building carry visible signs of the past, with windows that are now closed and annexes that have been extended. The farm is right on the border between Umbria and Tuscany which means that many excursions into the provinces of Siena and Arezzo as well as north Umbria are less than an hour's drive.

The farm's land extends to 11 hectares with woods and fields ideal for nature walking. The house is surrounded by a large garden with fruit trees and flowers. There is also a lovely swimming pool just opposite the house.

Today the farm is managed by Gabriele together with his mother. Gabriele moved here from Rome after his father died. At first he came to help his mother and the plan was to sell the house. In the country he discovered a different way of life to the one he was used to in the capital, and he decided to stay and restore the house. Today he is happy in his agricultural work and his mother looks after the guest accommodation and the food. She is an excellent cook, and guests are welcome for dinner if arranged beforehand.

The guests are accommodated in three apartments all located on the ground floor. The apartments are approx. 35-40 m² and have living room with kitchenette, bathroom and night area or bedroom with double bed. It is also possible to sleep two extra in the living room. Each apartment is fitted with TV and heating, if required in the colder months.

Special for this place is the fact that its shortest accepted stay – even in high season - is less than a week. This means you can use this as a stop-over en route to southern Italy or on the way home, or in connection with a stay in the western part of Tuscany.
