Relax in this spacious farm estate in the green heart of Umbria, between Todi, Assisi and Perugia at the farm Forte Sorgnano. The farm consists of character farmhouses dating back to the end of the 19th century. They have recently been restored and converted in to eight comfortable apartments and three rustic bedrooms.
Dine on the farm
The good thing here is that Forte Sorgnano has its own restaurant serving tasty lunches and dinners, so you don't have to leave the relaxing environment in search of eateries if you don't wish to. In between meal times, you have the lovely large swimming pool with sun loungers and umbrellas at your disposal, There is a shared barbeque and garden tables and chairs for when you want to cook for yourselves in the open air.
Many activities
If you find that you get a bit bored just hanging out by the pool, you will also find a table tennis table where you can knock the ball about, and also there is a fitness room with a few spinning bikes, weight machines and other machines if you want to work out. When you want to combine fresh air and exercise, take advantage of the bike hire facility here and go exploring on two wheels. There is a large playground for the children, and a small petting zoo where you will come across goats, geese, chickens, guinea fowl, turkeys and pigs. If this isn't enough, approx. 4km from here you will find tennis courts and horse riding stables.

Explore the woodlands
The land belonging to Forte Sorgnano covers 208 hectares of which 180 are covered by mixed woodlands (oak, chestnut and pine). The remaining 28 hectares are covered by century old olive groves, which have been extended by more than 1000 young olive trees. The olive grove has never been given chemical fertiliser and the excellent olive oil on site is produced exclusively in the Gualdo Cattaneo olive press. The farm also produces honey.
Stylish apartments
1 bedroom apartments: The one bedroom apartments are located in the main building and are all tastefully furnished in the classic rustic style of central Italy. The families own antique furniture has also been used in some of the apartments. The kitchen facilities are quite good and they have four burners and plenty of kitchen storage space. They are around 60 m² and all have a private entrance. 2 bedroom apartments: The two bedroom apartments are located approx. 150 metres from the swimming pool and are somewhat larger at around 90 m². They have a private garden and a covered terrace, a kitchen with a dishwasher and oven, satellite TV, a bathroom with a shower and hairdryer. Family room: There is also a family room on the farm which is on the first floor of the main building and is approx. 30 m². It consists of two rooms en suite, one with two single beds and one with a double bed and they share a private bathroom.
