San Vittorino sits on a hill high above the historic town of Gubbio, approximately 5 km away from the town itself. The castle's history dates back to the Middle Ages and there is no doubt that it has given shelter to the many pilgrims who came along the "Via Francescana" - the road that leads to Assisi over the years.
Agriturismo San Vittorino has magnificent views of the forests, hills and valleys all the way to Gubbio, and as a a guest here you have exclusive use of the large, sunny swimming pool (18 x 8 metres) immersed in lush green surroundings for moments of total relaxation. Fishing lovers can fish on a lovely little lake and children can enjoy the outdoor play areas.

The restaurant is located inside the castle and is open for dinner throughout the year. Lunch is also served by reservation. Every evening you can dine from a menu featuring characteristic Umbrian fare, including simple yet prized dishes made with foods grown and raised on the organic farm, such as meats (pork and chicken), freshwater fish, mushrooms and truffles, honey, olives, grains, fruits and nuts. The menu changes from season to season and the chef's recipes are inspired by Gubbio's characteristic rural traditions.

You always feel a bit exited when you have to stay in a new place. I have observed the place for a long time, so it was very excited to arrive. You don't know if the pictures matches with the reality, but it did. Very old and beautiful buildings with the tower and the apartments. Lovely terrace with a fantastic view overlooking the hills and the woods. No disturbing traffic and the hostess took really care of us. We pre-ordered dinner at the restaurant and that was really good. The food was tasteful made out of local products, inc truffels from the area. It was so delicious!
We enjoyed the truffel hunt with the dogs. Very different and excited! Highly recommend.
