Castello di Cortevecchio sits on a hilltop, 590 m above sea level, 12 km outside Gubbio. It is surrounded by oak and pine trees hundreds of years old. The medieval building was enlarged in the 19th century with stone extensions and an annex, and today it offers an outstanding chance for a relaxing holiday in an harmonious environment.
It is an ideal base for excursions to the many charming towns in Umbria, including Gubbio, Assisi, Spoleto, Todi and Perugia. Going for fantastic walks or jogging in the hills between the woods and the fields by the castle are just one way of enjoying this tranquil landscape.
